On the 8th,
several die-hard paddlers set off on an amazing escapade on the Manistee River
from Sharon to M-66. This adventurous
group was Lois, John, Fred, Judy, Arnie, Gail, Marvin, Tracie and me. We set off
and flowed down canoeing and kayaking. With Fred and Marvin stopping
occasionally to snag a lone bottle or can, they filled multiple bins. At a beautiful access site we all pulled over
and ate lunch. Then we floated along spotting turtles a plenty with me trying a
kayak. Then it had to come to an end. What a perfect day!
