Eight of us met at the Forks Launching Pad at High Noon, weather was not great but we shuttled to BBL with Mary King and Marlene keeping an eye on the boats. Henry provided everyone with the van full back to the Forks. Everyone on the river just after 1pm for a casual trip to the horse watering hole before Scheck's where we stretched our legs and proceeded down to BBL. Weather did improve for a time but don't think anyone needed sun screen?? It was a nice trip but no wildlife other than a few baby ducks and lots of Black-eyed Susans along the new stretch of the river.
Packed up all the kayaks, returned to Scheck's for the cookout where everyone brought along something to go with roasted hot dogs, chips, cookies, plates and some great salsa and peas with dip!! Thanks to all who made this work...Jackie, Henry, Tracie, Dan, Mary, Marv and Marlene, couldn't do it without you!! A bit rusty after almost a year and will do better next time!! Thanks again, Mike
