This trip just kept growing! A popular section of the river that is enjoyed by beginners as well as seasoned paddlers. As trip host I hated to leave out anyone that wanted to come so opened spots as requested until our group reached a hearty level. A few long time club members came out & it sure was good to see them again after an extended absence. Our group partook of an excellent meal at Shirley's in the Woods restaurant before heading out to the river. The shuttle was graciously provided by Marv & Dee. The group split to drop in both upstream & downstream from the bridge which helped to get everyone launched. After a bit the lead paddlers stopped to regroup with the slower ones, then we all stayed together for most of the way to the takeout. The weather was beautiful, flowers stunning, & the amount of sunshine just right for a dip or two. The cooperation amongst the group made for a smooth take out, load up & departure to our individual destinations.
