This is the perfect day to celebrate the end of river permit season (though you will need a vehicle pass: $5 per car if you don't already have one).  It's the first day of school, and you can wave to the kiddies as they board the busses, then take off for the river!

We will be paddling the Pere Marquette River from Bowman Bridge to Upper Branch Bridge.  The distance is a bit over 13 miles, with a paddling time of 4 hours.  The river is fairly easy, with a sand bottom all the way.

The meeting time will be sent with your e-mail confirmation.  It's about 75 miles from TC, so please plan accordingly.  Last year it took us 1:45 from Acme via US-131.

Here is a map of the access:

From Baldwin, take 7th street west 5 blocks to Cherry Street, then south 1.5 blocks to 52nd Street (Carr Road), go west 4 miles to the Bowman Bridge access.
