Paddle Victoria Creek 2 PM! Meet at the American Waste Recycling Station on the west side of Cedar where the road through town (651) passes over Victoria Creek. You will see the red recycle dumpsters. There is a port-a-potty. No car shuttle needed on this paddle. There is parking at the put-in. We will paddle to the entrance to Lake Leelanau and back, less than eight miles.
There is not much current, so you would paddle both out and back. Victoria Creek has not much of a solid bank and so no place to get out of kayak to stretch legs. Snack from kayak. The creek bottom is muddy. I have not seen any homes on this stretch of Victoria Creek. We might see some birds, including great blue herons, so maybe bring camera/binoculars.
