Come join us for a morning trip on the Boardman, only 30 minutes from downtown TC.  We will be paddling from the Forks Campground to Brown Bridge Landing.  You will marvel at the remote feeling you get without going very far from home.

We will begin at the Forks Access, take a short break for a snack at Scheck's, and proceed downstream through the new section of the river that has replaced Brown Bridge Pond (since the dam was removed in the fall of 2012).  There is now 2.5 miles of free flowing river where we used to have a one mile slog across the sometimes-mucky pond.  Scenery is totally unique, so if you have not seen the new landscape yet, it is quite a sight to behold.  Come join us!

There are several fun riffles along the way.  The current is quick, but the river is wide enough to be easily negotiated by adventurous beginners.  This section is a good place to practice maneuvering in current and practicing those back ferries.

Paddling time should be about 3 hours, so we will be done before lunchtime.  Bring your usual paddling gear, ropes for the bow and stern, a water bottle and a snack.
