My first Sturgeon paddle this season from Wolverine to Fisher Woods Rd (south of Indian River) on a high 80s day with 3 first-timers. We passed a few other groups in kayaks, canoes, tubes & rafts but not crowded. I almost lost my camera when I took a swim to cool-off at the Rondo access at lunch, but it surfaced as it whirlpooled upstream. Everyone loved riding the riffles, paddling around the logjams & through the tunnel of trees! Afterwards, we enjoyed dinner together at the Thirsty Sturgeon. We'll be back soon! Sara Cockrell
