With over an inch of rain the night before, the Pine was a little swollen and the riffles were numerous but manageable. No one expected a spectacular day but that's what turned out after a rainy morning and a forecast of clouds and possibly more rain. By the the time John, Lois, M & M, and Jack met at Dobson for the shuttle, the sun was peeking out and it was warming up. As we made our way down to Peterson Bridge for lunch, the weather just kept getting better with cool breezes, bright sun, and picturesque cloud formations. After lunch the wind and riffles picked up a bit and made for interesting paddling down to Low Bridge. The high banks, sweeping turns, and spectacular scenery make the Pine one of the best runs in the North.
