Lois, John, Harold, Pam, Tracie, Mary, Milda, Barb, Mike R., Mike T., Steve and
Jocelyn enjoyed a peaceful paddle down the Upper Pine River, in very warm humid
weather.
It was peaceful other than bumping into and sliding off of some
boulders. There was not much wildlife to be found. They were
probably hiding under branches to keep out of the heat. Two mergansers
and a bald eagle were spotted. After a lunch break at the Skookum access, a beautiful spot
overlooking the river, the group took many swim breaks to stay cool. The
water was cold and refreshing. A good time was had by all.
