Oct 4 - Main Branch AuSable River - Wakeley Bridge to McMasters Bridge
I had never paddled this section and we decided it would be a good choice since
Lois led a trip two days earlier on the Grayling to Stephan Bridge section.
The heavy rain kept me up all night but when I looked at the weather at 5:00am, it looked like it might just be ok.
We met at the Bk in Kalkaska at 8:30 and headed out. The rain had stopped and there was light skies in the west.
We met our shuttle driver from Bear Paw Livery - Lucerne MI - 989-826-3313 - at 10:00 at McMasters Bridge.
The river was a bit high but it was not a problem. We were ALL very happy I didn't cancel.
