We were blessed with a bright sunny day for our final trip of the year along the Manistee River. The air was cool, and the westerly wind was blowing with gusts above 30 mph. This slowed our progress downstream, but we were all enjoying our time on the river since we knew it might be one of our last for the season. Many of the trees still had their leaves, so we were treated to great fall colors. At the end of the paddle, Tracie said, "Nobody dumped, nobody died, and nobody cried so it must have been a successful trip"!
