We gathered at the Bowman Bridge put-in about 10:30, by 11 we were on the river paddling. There were 9 of us paddling, including Gerald & Sue, Marv & Marlene, Tracie, Gail, John & Lois and me.
The Pere Marquette is a nice slow moving river and the weather was nice and sunny. We encountered a few salmon fisherman and a couple of canoes. We stopped at Rainbow Rapids for lunch. Everyone, including me, managed to stay in their boats and keep them upright. There was a quick stop at Sulak and shortly down river we watched a couple fisherman wrestle with salmon. Then we paddled down to Upper Branch Bridge where we pulled out. After loading up and shuttling back to Bowman Bridge we stopped for some ice cream at Jones in Baldwin.
