2nd BRCS/TAPC Jordan River Cleanup This Year
We had planned to do a cleanup on the Main Br of the AuSable, but there was little interest in that so we decided that the Jordan was a good alternative. Mike Rodenberg had planned a trip earlier in the season but it got rained out. This one almost did, too.
There were 6 of us in 5 boats. The weather was cool but mild and we had a south (following) wind.
We wanted to start at the tubes to concentrate on the sections we missed earlier in the season.
Here we are at the tubes under Old State Rd.
We were looking for these but we found a lot more.
After our lunch stop at Webster, we got going but shortly thereafter we got very wet with a downpour that sort of surprised us. It was supposed to hold off for a few more hours but we were prepared with our rain gear and we were fine.
This was a great way to end my paddling season with good friends in a wet clothes.
I have placed the rest of the pictures in a photo gallery for your viewing pleasure.
