About this event

This trip on the Pine River will go from Elm Flats to Peterson Bridge.  Each car will need to have a vehicle permit($5 per day if you don't have an annual pass-pay at the parking areas).  I will obtain the watercraft permits, which are limited to 8.

We will meet in the morning, do the shuttle and then head downstream.  There will be a break for lunch at Dobson Bridge. Paddling time should be about 5 hours.

Given the possibility of tight turns, obstructions and maneuvering through riffles, you will need to be able to move your boat sideways and place it anywhere on the river.  If you are not sure that you have the skills to paddle the Pine, please call me to talk about it.  Hopefully, it will be a nice trip through the little rapids that await us during the trip.  There are good opportunities for wildlife sightings and some wildflowers along the river banks.
