A perfect first paddle on the Upper Platte this season from Veteran's Park, warm & calm until we reached Platte Lake. No other paddlers on the river with us, but 2 groups finished as we were taking out our rainbow of boats! Marsh marigolds still in bloom, followed a pair of mergansers for a stretch, and spotted a gorgeous yellow-rumped warbler. Not much trash, though a few dock sections need to be cleared from the river.
Paddlers: Jocelyn (Max in bow), Becky, Ann, Scott, Dan & Sara in 2 canoes & 4 kayaks
