It was a great late summer day on the Manistee (fall officially starts tomorrow). We had lots of sun and the temperature was in the mid-70s at lunch time. The river was fast and clear. Some trees have started to hint at color change.
Today’s group consisted of Angie & John, John & Winston, Bob B, Linnaea M, Linda W, Kurt R, Sara, Barb & Mike – 2 solo canoes (Winston was in one, but did not paddle) and 8 kayaks. We only saw one other kayak on the river. Even though it was a beautiful day, only Winston and Barb took to the water.
This stretch of river is a club favorite and it did not disappoint today.
