Trip Reports

September 24 Jordan River

Published on 9/24/2015
Notes from Glenn: Spray decks are helpful when negotiating the tubes; use a full spray skirt, not just a splash deck.  Ask Lois how she ended up with a wet butt, and then did the last section in 36 minutes just aiming for her dry pants.  There are still lots of cans present in fairly deep water (2 1/2 to 3 feet) below Webster Bridge.  In fact, I'm thinking of putting in at Webster to SPEAR some more, although a long grabber might work.

Photos by Glenn; captions by John Heiam (who wasn't able to attend, but graciously added these to the website)

John and Winston get settled in

Marlene and Lois try to figure out which way the river is flowing.

A peaceful day on the Jordan

Marlene takes a good line through the tube.

How did my yard get so covered in duck poop?

Trash in Glenn's canoe; fortunately Lois brought lots of bags.  Glenn filled one large and one small bag.
