June 28 Boardman Morning Paddle
Tracie led a delightful paddle from Forks to Brown Bridge Landing. The early morning weather seemed to scare away some of our paddlers. It was not without reason, I received nearly a dozen rain drops on the windshield driving to the put in. We followed the advice in the 1545 edition of the Elizabethan Punters Guide to the Thames; "Faint Heart ne'er won fair adventure". Four of us pressed on. We braved winds sufficient to suppress the Culicidae family and temperatures in the teens*. Within an hour we were dealing with direct UV radiation and elevating thermal conditions.
A great time was had by all.
