Most of the group met for lunch at the Crystal Cafe in Benzonia (a hidden gem), and a few others joined us at the put-in. The sky was overcast, but helped us avoid having the sun in our eyes as we paddled west. Tracie's expert coaching helped a novice paddler negotiate the occasional maneuvering required - during one of which a poor muskrat had a close encounter with the novice's kayak. Lots of kingfishers, as usual.
