Golden Cedar River Cleanup - Gladwin, MI

The Golden Cedar is a beautiful river that flows through Gladwin MI.

Today, folks from Jay's Sporting Goods in Clare, TAPC, BRCS and MICUORB
came out to make this the cleanest river in the State for at least one day.

Here are some of the the photos from the trip.

Tom found one of these "Jelly Balls" and didn't know what it is.
Turns out that it is a living thing called a Bryozoan - Pectinatella magnifica.
They are colonies of tiny animals and they filter the water.
But Josh said they smell like "crap"

Then we had a BK coupon picnic.

Tonight, this is the cleanest river in the State of Michigan.

The City of Gladwin Parks Dept allowed us to use the Campground parking lot
and dumpster today.  We all thank them for their hospitality.

I want to thank all the folks who came to Gladwin today.

You made it possible.
