Six of us - Kent, Babs, Greg, Jocelyn, John and Lois - enjoyed an amazing color tour on the Manistee River. We saw only a couple of other paddlers, while the trails above seemed to be teeming with leaf peepers hiking between Seaton Creek and Red Bridge. The weatherman had forecast temps in the high 60s, but that never occurred. Fortunately, we all had appropriate clothing to ward off the chill. We stayed within talking distance of each other for the entire trip, so it was good to have plenty of time to chat about previous adventures as well as future plans for paddling in Florida next spring.
Note on one of the photos: John is the primary equipment manager in our household, and he wanted to make sure I didn't bring any mud into the kayak after our lunch break. The boats are now put away, and we are off to paddle the Columbia River in a week! Lois
