June 18 Boardman River, Forks to BBL
Published on 6/18/2017
The river was up & running after a morning's hard rain. Skies were overcast, with layers of clouds but 10 hardy paddlers braved the trip down the Boardman. Shuttle was run by Marv and appreciated by all especially the trip hosts, Jackie & Tracie. Lois led the group for the day's adventure in her Mad River Liberty 14'8" red canoe. Next was Marlene in her 13.5' orange burst Wilderness Tsunami, Lindy with a light blue 10' Perception Tribute, Tracie in a 12.5' blue Wilderness Tsunami, Doug in a yellow Perception Acadia 11', Linnea in her 12' blue Dagger Blackwater, Rich using a 12' blue & white Perception Sport, Jackie & Bella in their 12' yellow Wilderness Pungo, Bob in his 11.5 Hurricane Santee and Glenn in his Bell Wildfire 14' red canoe.
Things left behind: a rain jacket, two water bottles, a kayak paddle.
Things not really needed afterall: a rain jacket, two water bottles, a kayak paddle.
