Great afternoon for a reconnaissance paddle on the Boardman from The Forks to Brown Bridge Landing with Jocelyn & Bob Fitch. Due to lingering snow in the woods, the cfs is 280, or 2x normal, the river wider, the trees lower, and faster current, so a few challenges and one portage, but all stayed upright. Enjoyed the river to ourselves, along with 2 mallards, blue heron, merganser, deer, marten, turtle & lots of beaver activity. Wow, can't beat the 62F sunshine! Thanks to Bob for scouting the river on Tuesday.
