"Tuesday evening's Forks to Brown Bridge paddle was a reschedule after Monday's rain and humidity. We who hesitated were not lost, as the river was flowing nicely and the weather was gorgeous. Sara, who had already hiked and biked, lead the charge, with Lindy close behind. Tracie was quieter than usual, but Jackie and Doug were joined by Ron (in his new Hammer kayak) in a raucous dance of the "short" boats. Flowers and wildlife were abundant, and I tried to get photos by eddying out in the "rapids" above brown bridge, my sister's kevlar kayak crunching across the rocks. To complicate matters, several "suspects" made it "rain" with a water blaster someone snuck into the paddle. NONE were innocent, though Jocelyn did her best to protect Max. Thanks to Norm Fred and Boardman River clean sweep there was just a few cans to be found. The cleanest I have ever seen this stretch of river. Needless to say, the paddle was a blast!!!"
Thanks to Sara and Jocelyn for providing shuttle service.
