September 15 Pine River, Walker to Dobson

Thanks to Bob and Carrie for helping with the shuttle.  Gorgeous weather, no problems with navigating, though we did have one very narrow slot to get through after lunch.  There were a few gravel bars, but no biggie. Saw only a few other paddlers, and there were no issues with us passing by them.
We posted this trip just a couple of days before it was to take place, since the Sunday trip was oversubscribed.  Many of us wanted the freedom to paddle in warm weather unencumbered.  The trip filled up within 24 hours.
There are 126 steps up to the parking lot at Dobson, which makes this a dual sport event for the drivers!
This stretch of the Pine is so gorgeous that we have scheduled it again for fall color season on October 9.
