Trip Reports

September 24 - Morning Boardman trip, Forks to BBL

Published on 9/24/2018
People: Norm, John M, Jocelyn, Bob, John & Lois
We brought two cars to make the shuttle process a bit more efficient.  Norm picked up a bit of trash - you can take the guy out of the cleanup trips, but you can't take him out of the "cleanup zone"!
And I was right about which potty had been refurbished.

And now about the trip. As usual for this time of year, the morning was very cool, but as the sun rose above the trees we could peel off some layers. A couple of trees had started to turn, but not as many as along the AuSable that we did two days ago. We stopped at the horse camp to stretch and have a snack. There were a few fisherman out enjoying the river and we exchanged pleasantries as we passed. Everyone on the river is in a good mood. We finished the trip in a little more than three hours.

Photos by John and Jocelyn. John's were taken with an expensive camera and lens. Jocelyn's were taken with an expensive phone!

Jocelyn and Max wore matching outfits. OK Jackie, the competition begins.

Lois near the put-in (it was chilly then)

Norm

Lois, which way is downstream?

Lois had a conversation with this pooch who was enjoying himself along the river.
