Jocelyn, Jackie and I ( Ron ) started out the wrong way seeing how far we would get up river before being stopped by a beaver damn. We paddled for about a half hour upstream which became a ten minute trip back to John's landing. The beavers have been busy over the past months. We saw lots of newborn Geese, a few Mallards, a big frog that made Jackie scream and a beautiful young fawn hunkering down just off the river. We cleared out the log that we all had to jump over last fall that had gotten lighter in weight and was higher than before. Lots of hitting sunken obstacles , and quick maneuvering made it a very fun trip. We shortened the trip form the usual and took out at Cameron Bridge.
