We started our paddle just late enough to avoid the morning thunderstorms. It was a beautiful morning for what was a relaxing paddle once we made it through the first obstacle. Deena made it through with a little work. I had to add a little more drama. I got stuck sideways against a log, filled my kayak with water, and had to exit my kayak and grab my ropes to free my kayak. Advice for next time: hang back, let the first person get through, heed their advice, or wait for Glenn to help clear a path.
We ended our trip with a great lunch at Shirley’s Café. Participants this time were trip hosts Lois & John, Glenn, Jacqui, Marlene, Deena and author Linda Woodruff, plus shuttle bunny Marv.
