July 22 Crystal River
Published on 7/23/2019
Eight TAPC members enjoyed a beautiful paddle on the Crystal River near Glen Arbor in the late afternoon. The water was much higher than I've ever seen but that was a good thing. We were spared the usual occasional hull scrapings. The bottom is sand with some gravel here and there. We saw a deer just standing at water's edge, watching us pass. I saw a green heron. What really made it enjoyable was that all participants were friendly, courteous, respectful of one another, and helpful. Thanks to Jackie for organizing.
