People: Lois & John, Betty & Mike, Deena, Marlene and Kathleen
Kayaks: two blue, two red, 2 orange, 1 yellow
Weather: after two days of rain, a bit cloudy when we launched, and bright sunshine by the end
Spray skirts: mostly we used them, especially when we had to launch into surf after lunch at the tip of the peninsula. I learned that mine is delaminating after 11 years - time to buy a new one
Good conversation - much easier to sustain when you're side-by-side for a while. I tend to paddle a lot of rivers, so this was a welcome change of pace.
Assistance: special thanks go to Kathleen and John, who helped get us out into the surf after lunchtime.
Super clear water, a bit of northwest wind.
Quote from Kathleen:
What a great day! The paddle to the tip of OMP was a delight, sore back notwithstanding! Thanks so much for putting this together. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
