Trip Reports

Manistee 612-72

We got off to a great start by grabbing some prime parking spots at the take out! There were shuttle pods galore but all ran smoothly. We got on the river ahead of the Saturday rental crowds, just barely. A nice lunch/break stop was initiated by Harold with most decanting from their crafts to partake in a food/drink/rest fortification. Some declined & were comfortable noshing in their boat. We watched renters float by on some pretty nifty tubes with a back rest & double bladed short paddle in hand.
We all got going again & encountered very small groups that were easy to navigate around, no big rafted up flotillas! Everyone helped each other get gear & boats loaded at the take out so all could finish getting those with a vehicle at the put in back to their cars.
