Today’s weather could not have been better. We had temperatures in the upper 70’s with low humidity, and a slight breeze to keep the bugs down. Other people were also enjoying the weather, but the river was not crowded. Cyndi, Terry, Harold, Pam, Marlene, Lois, John, and Nikolaj met at 2 pm for a leisurely paddle down the Jordan. After we drove to the take-out on Roger’s Road, Marv gave the three drivers a lift back to the put-in. Although it felt hot near the pavement while we ran the shuttle, once we got on the river, the temperature seemed to go down by ten degrees. Nikolaj was experiencing some back pain when paddling my Inuit so at Rogers Road we switched boats and he loved the back band on the Dagger. Nikolaj was also amazed at how light my carbon fiber paddle was, and we talked about how important it is to buy quality gear when enjoying any athletic activity. At the end of the paddle Lois, Nikolaj and I had dinner with Marv and Marlene at the Foundry in East Jordan.
