Dateline Aug 26:
Is this the Traverse Area Vagabond club? We had 4 vagabonds. 3 Wenonahs and one Seda Vagabond kayak. Still we were open minded; we let Pam paddle her Wee Lassie.
The battle plan was perfect, until the first shot was fired. In this case Thor fired the first shot with thunder, lightning, and rain all night and morning. We adjusted the time space parameters to accommodate. Jordan in the morning became Jordan in the afternoon, then became BBL to Beitner. We settled on Forks to BBL in the afternoon.
The water was a smidge high (400 CFS), a bit turbid (2 cm visibility), and a bit fast (2 ½ hrs for the whole trip with a snack break). We all kept the open side up and a good time was had by all.
We learned that you can get 3 boats on a Subaru but it really helped to have Mike's awesome door step thingy. Google car door step, amazing!
