July 11 Good Harbor Bay

Gerald and Sue got there nice and early, but discovered that the hatches from his gorgeous handmade kayak had flown off, so they headed home and found both within 1/2 mile of their house. Meanwhile, John, Danny and I paddled from Good Harbor Bay (there IS a bit of beach there this year!) around past Pyramid Point. Great views of that slope, nobody around and the Manitou Islands seemed very close, but we know that paddling across the shipping lane is NOT a good idea. We had some wave action on the return trip, but the weather was great, so a bit of moisture was not a problem. Lois
