May 15 Manistee 612 - M72: An old favorite

We enjoyed a nice paddle on a spectacular spring day. The group was spread out a bit and this author was toward the rear of the group. The water seemed cold at first launch. But after getting stuck on a sandbar & unsuccessfully employing the Puska Push, I was forced to get out of the kayak to break free. I immediately christened myself by way of a foot stuck in the mud & somehow with all the exertion the water seemed much warmer.
My guess is the rest of the paddlers had no such drama. Thank you to Jackie who stayed with me for safety & didn’t laugh, although my antics must have been amusing!
The group worked together at the landing to get everyone loaded up & on their way.
A big thank you to the trip host!
