August 31 Boardman, Brown Bridge Landing to Beitner

It was an excellent paddle with 10 folks: Lois & John, Paul & Irene, Glenn, Bob, Harold, Marlene, John W. and Susan. The weather was beautiful in the high 70’s and the water was perfect. Wonderful views of a variety of birds and wildlife: Bald Eagle, Green Heron, Great Blue Heron, Solitary Sandpipers , Red Tailed Hawk, turtles, a huge buck graced Lois and Paul by fording the river in front of them, a fierce giant alligator (not real), a conclave of 5 floatable donkeys overseeing the activity on the river. Thanks Lois for a great paddle. Followed by a wonderful lunch at Opa! Grille.

Just look at the sky; this is why we live here!
The water is cool and clear, but we have to clean our boats later to prevent spreading Didymo
Are these horses or donkeys? If they are donkeys, is it a Democratic caucus?
It's August 31, and fall is around the corner
Piper has become very laid back in recent years (with John W)
Weeping willows are just around some of the bends, with Glenn and Marlene
