What a gorgeous day! Cool and sunny and not a lot of wind. All went well. No injuries. The picnic and raffle were very well attended and we took a bunch of trash out of the river. Some said there wasn't much trash there and they were right but there was plenty enough to make the day worthwhile especially in the areas we had never cleaned before.
The 7th graders from E. Middle School and the Kingsley 4H kids worked really hard and did a fantastic job. Good for them!!!
There were some 85 people who worked on the event this year and there is still the National Cherry Festival Cleanup to do, so we might hit 100.
We made $1225.00 for the Grand Traverse Conservation District and the Kingsley 4H Challenge Club with the raffle
Thanks to everyone who volunteered to help on the 5th Annual BRCS - 2009.
We all look forward to doing it again next year.
