******************************* 11th Annual Upper Platte River Clean Sweep Thursday, May 31, 2018 20 of us came to meet at the Veteran's Park after a hard rain the night before. We broke into two groups to do this project. The river was high and fast and the upstream group struggled with the current but still managed to take out a couple of bags of trash. It rained on us softly for a few minutes along the way but it was sort of pleasant while it lasted and we dried off in just a few minutes. We found two docks in one location to remove later and we marked them with our GPS camera. The downstream group took out more trash and larger stuff, too. Jim Keglovitz let us use his property to launch and takeout and then outdid himself by providing a great picnic for us at the end.
